Gros Morne National Park
Gros Morne National Park is located on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland, in eastern Canada. The park is home to fjords, mountain peaks, beaches, bogs, forests, deserts, and barren cliffs.
Gros Morne is a mountain peak in the Long Range Mountain range, and is home to a popular trail overlooking the Ten Mile Pond gorge. The Western Brook Pond is a fjord formed by glaciers, and is lined with cliffs and waterfalls. The desert-like Tablelands area of the park has unusual rock formations created by the earth’s tectonic plates colliding millions of years ago.
The flora and fauna that call Gros Morne home are an exceptional mixture of temperate, boreal, and Arctic-alpine.
