Rouge National Urban Park
The landscape of Rouge National Urban Park was formed after the retreat of the vast continental ice sheets, some 13,000 years ago. As the ice retreated, a layer of sand and silt up to 100 m thick was left behind, to be carved by water and wind into the rolling hills and valleys that can be seen today.
