The Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument is located in northwestern Arizona and southern Nevada. Established in 2000, the monument covers over 1 million acres and is known for its remote wilderness landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The monument is located within the bounds of the Grand Canyon.
The monument is also an important cultural resource, with several Native American archaeological sites, including the remains of ancient Native American communities and early pioneer settlements.
