Pacific Northwest

The Pacific Northwest refers to the northwestern portion of the USA, bordered in the west by the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains to the east. This region primarily includes the states of Washington, Oregon and Idaho, but at times includes northern California and the southern tip of Alaska.

This lush region is known for its dramatic and rugged coastline, snow-capped mountains, temperate climate rainforests, and old-growth forests. The PPNW is known for its rainfall, and for good reason. It gets around 7 feet of rain every year!

PNW States: Washington, Oregon & Idaho.

Pacific Northwest National Parks: Crater Lake, Olympic, Mount Rainier, and North Cascades.
